It is a wine distillate with designation of origin. It is produced mainly out of wines of the type of vine Muscatel, which being allowed to be exclusively from regions and high-lying valleys fixed legally exactly north of Santiago de Chile.
After a careful distillation, it matures in oak barrels, until it has its perfect character. Gran Pisco is the quality expression for quality Pisco which must have 43% alcohol under law.
