|Article:||Roederer Cristal Rose Brut Jahrgang 2006|
|Region:||Champagne, hilly country of Marne.|
|Category:||Vintage Champagne Rosé, dry|
|Grape variety:||60% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay|
|Colour:||Pastel pink with shining reflexes and light orange.|
|Flavour:||The bouquet issoft and subtle and marked by elegant fruit notes (red fruits: Strawberry, fig), approvals of citrus fruit peels (orange, lemon) and juicier nuances like ripe peach. The flavour development is lasting and easily sweet. In the beginning he acts youthfully, springlikely and full of energy: He is round, extensive and silky, however, counts on a great mineral freshness. This minerality is quite characteristic for the Cristal Rosé in whom the chalk and salinity of the terroir of A ÿ come to expression.|
|Taste:||It develops airy notes and a great aromatic purity at the palate which shows its discreet strength. At the air contact traces of cakes and pastries and dried fruits grilled easily develop. That suggests his great maturation potential.|
|Drinking temperature:||9 °C|
|Drink recommendation:||As apéritif or companion to salmon and crabs to fish stewed in champagne and fresh sheep's milk cheese.|
|Dosage:||Adjusted depending on year, between 8 - 10 g/l.|
The 1776 founded Champagne house in Reims has more than 200 hectares of vineyard, exclusively Premier- and Grand Cru-positions. Louis Roederer uses the Maceration Pelliculaire, an intercellular fermentation, at the development of the pink champagnes. After some hours on the mash the pigments of the grapes are extracted sufficiently. To ensure the colour and the style of the champagne house, one uses Pinot Noir grapes of the old vines of Cumières.
They are extremely aromatically and highly concentrated. It matures on the yeast for an average of 6 years and then another 8 months on the bottle.
